Dinner with Students from So Cal & Undergraduate Admissions Office
Alumni Volunteers Requested
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Illinois is hosting two dinners for admitted students in southern CA and are looking for alumni to attend the events.
This is the first time these events are being held in the area, but they are anticipating a group of about 70-80 people at each location. The primary responsibility of alumni volunteers is to facilitate conversation/share their Illinois experience at a table with 2 or 3 students and their parents. Most of the program is spent eating dinner, but after dinner, the admissions representative will give a brief presentation covering information for admitted students. If time allows, the evening will wrap up with an alumni panel so the students have a chance to hear from everyone, not just the person who joined them for dinner. Students enjoy hearing first-hand stories as well as meeting our successful graduates.
If you need more information or are interested in helping make these events in So Cal a success, please RSVP to Elizabeth Santiago directly: ejsantia@illinois.edu
